Peach Cobbler

In a desperate attempt to use up peaches before they went bad (and to impress my little sister when she stopped by for a visit), I looked up this recipe & whipped it up.  It was easy, but the recipe called for 4 cups of peaches- the peach/topping ratio wasn’t the greatest.  In the future, I will either cut the topping in half or double the peaches.

I also used a combination of fresh & home-canned peaches to get up to 4 cups.  Our canned peaches are super attractive, so this will be a good way to use them up.

Peach Cobbler

From All Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 c milk
  • 1 c self-rising flour (I used GF Better Batter)
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 4 cups sliced peaches

Directions:

  • Whisk milk, flour, and sugar together until blended; add butter. Whisk to combine
  • Arrange peach slices on a greased 11×7 baking dish.  Cover peaches with batter; do not stir
  • Bake at 375 for about 40 minutes, until browned & bubbling
