Spicy French Dip Sandwiches

This is my latest attempt to use up all those roasts in our freezer… I even bought GF bread ($6/loaf!) to make real French dip sandwiches!  Initially, the roast was a bit spicy, so I’ve reduced the cayenne by half (if you like spicy *cough cough Cody* use 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper).  When I made a sandwich from the leftovers the next day, the meat wasn’t spicy at all, so maybe it was really the au jus.  Nevertheless, it was tasty!  Maybe my new favorite way to cook a roast 🙂

  • Bread or rolls to make sandwiches

  • In a small bowl, mix spices.  Rub mixture over surface of the meat.
